I Finally Finished The Build

For those reading this post for the first time, I began planning for this bike many months ago. This post is the second post in a series that finally completes this build saga. I orgininally finished this build weeks ago. But with all the snow in Baltimore…

I’ve been riding a 2006 Moment for three years now. The quality of the bike and the level of responsiveness in the suspension is simply amazing. Over the course of those three years, I have developed some relationships over at Ellsworth Cycles primarily due to my boy Donald going to work for them.

Big congrats to my boy Jonny Lang on his graduation from orthodontics school. It’s good to have you back in Baltimore, Jon. Looking forward to many new riding adventures now that you’re back.

Jon’s girl went big and hooked him up with one of the sweetest graduation presents a mountain biker could get. She got him this 2010 Ellsworth Moment. It’s set up with a 2010 DHX Air 5.0 shock. It’ll be interesting to see how he builds it up. Once it’s complete, I’ll snap some shots and post an update.

Where to begin. The whole Interbike 2009 experience was incredible. I could never put it into words that do it justice. The best I can do is be brief, and show you as many photos as possible.

It all starts with the two demo days prior to the exhibit. For those that don’t know, you can literally visit / talk with any manufacturer and ride ANY bike they have in the 2010 line. And you can choose from riding that bike on shuttled DH trails or on really flowy XC trails. There are also pretty sick dirt jumps (lots) and a skills area. I’ll be posting images from the dirt jumps as well as reviews on the bikes I rode. I posted a whole bunch of photos from the show itself here.
