Dirt Jump Session In Baltimore, MD

Checked out a dirt jump park just outside of Baltimore City on Memorial Day. It was me, Gary Lessner, and Vaughn Micciche of Trialsin.com. The park we checked out was on the down-low because it’s on public land and unsanctioned; so I know you won’t mind if I don’t tell you the name or the location of this spot.

Bottom line: this place is SICK. Gary told me that I was “gonna be like WHAAAAT?!” when I saw the layout and he was right. I couldn’t believe how well built this park was. Whoever pitched in on building and up-keeping this park has worked their asses off. PROPS. Soooooooo sick.

All Mountain / Freeride Guys Pitch-In

I went riding this past Saturday at Patapsco State Park. Hit the Avalon loop from the top of the park and ride. Did exactly three hours solo. It’s more peaceful alone. Not to mention, I can chill out and concentrate on my technical skills. Don’t have to worry about blazing by all the trail features at lightning fast, hammer-head speed. That’s how most of my friends ride. I think I only have three or four friends that like to get air, wear baggy cloths, and have bikes that travel more than 5 inches. Going alone allows me to concentrate on all mountain riding. I’ll practice logs, skinnies, lips, jumps and hucks. I’ll double back and do em again. And again. And again. Fast is cool, but my focus is on being a solid all-around rider.

The Avalon Loop at Patapsco State Park with Alaz

It’s 11pm and I’m sittin’ here drankin’ a Heine relaxing from the 15 mile loop I just lit up. Got off the trail in the near pitch black (8pm EST). Started out at 6pm. I rarely end a ride so close to sunset without lights. It wasn’t my fault. I left in plenty of time to finish 15 miles WAY before sunset. Nope, not my fault at all. My riding buddy mechanical’ed three quarters into the ride.

Meet Alaz. He’s a bad mofo and a great trail dog. Alaz is a two year old German Shepherd. He’s been riding with me a good bit, but he’s mechanical’ed twice now on both of our last outings. I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this challenge with their trail dogs.

Dirt Jumping With Gary Lessner

So a couple weeks back I went over to Robert E. Lee park with my boy Gary. Gary was gonna hit some dirt jumps and get photo’ed by some kid. I forget his name, but that kid was cool. All these pics are props to him.

The pic you see on the right is me. I know, weak. Gimme a break. I haven’t hit any gaps in over two years. I need to grow my balls back. What you see in that pic is me starting to grow ‘em again.
